Search Console | Seu Aliado Secreto para Aprovar o Google Merchant Center

Having trouble getting your Google Merchant Center account approved? We know how frustrating this can be! Google Search Console is a powerful tool that can help you identify and fix errors that are preventing your site from being approved, such as issues with your products' structured data.

In this post, we’ll walk you through some common errors that Search Console can identify and show you how to fix them to increase your chances of being approved in Merchant Center.

Common Structured Data Errors (Video Errors):

Return policy:

  • "returnPolicyCategory" not found: You need to specify the type of return policy you offer (e.g. full refund, exchange, etc.).
  • "applicableCountry" not found: Please indicate which country your return policy applies to.
  • "hasMerchantReturnPolicy" was not found: This error indicates that the return policy information is completely missing.

Shipping Details:

  • "shippingDestination" not found: You need to specify where you are shipping your products (e.g. Brazil, worldwide, etc.).
  • "shippingRate" not found: Enter the shipping cost for your products.
  • "deliveryTime" was not found: Please specify the estimated delivery time for your products.
  • "shippingDetails" not found: This error indicates that shipping information is completely missing.

Product information:

  • "price" not found: Product price is mandatory information and is missing.
  • "description" not found: Product description is also required and is missing.
  • "sku" with invalid length: The SKU (unique product code) must be in a valid format (usually a short alphanumeric code).
  • "aggregateRating" not found: This field displays the average rating of the product, based on customer reviews.
  • "review" not found: This field provides more detailed information about customer reviews.
  • You must specify "price" or "priceSpecification.price": There seems to be some confusion in how you are entering the price of the product. You must use the correct format ("price" or "priceSpecification.price") so that Google understands the information.
  • "priceValidUntil" not found: This field tells you the expiration date of the product's price. It is useful for promotions or limited-time offers.

How to fix the errors:

  1. Access the source code of your product pages: Check if the missing information is present in the page's HTML code.
  2. Fix errors in structured data: Add missing information and fix any errors in the formatting of the structured data.
  3. Use the Structured Data Testing Tool: Validate your structured data using the Google Search Console Rich Results Testing Tool ( https://search.google.com/test/rich-results ).
  4. Submit your site for reprocessing: Request that Google reprocess your site so it sees the changes using the URL Inspection Tool.
